WATERLOO, Ontario, Canada -
GoldCare, market leader in healthcare management software, is excited to announce that its Home and Community Care solution has been selected for implementation by Independence Centre and Network (ICAN).
ICAN, located in Sudbury, Ontario, provides individualized support and rehabilitation services to help people with physical disabilities, as well as those recovering after a stroke or other serious permanent injury, live independently and inclusively in the community.
When ICAN began looking for a new scheduling and information management system, they had two requirements: increased reporting capabilities and better support. “ICAN has been experiencing rapid growth of late. We needed a solution that was capable of growing with us, and also able to meet our increased reporting requirements on a Regional level,” explains Marie Leon, Chief Executive Officer at ICAN. “Through our decision-making process, it was clear that GoldCare offered the solution we needed; it could facilitate our reporting−particularly though their Make Your Own Reporting tool−and offered a level of support we had been lacking.”
While customer support was a key component of ICAN’s selection of GoldCare, Marie points out that staff at ICAN are most excited about being able to access their schedules and some client information through GoldCare’s Employee Portal. “Scheduling and client services go hand-in-hand. If we can make life easier for our scheduling department, then client services are improved−and at the end of the day, that’s what really counts.”
Paula Hucko, GoldCare’s President, couldn’t agree more. “It’s rewarding to help organizations like ICAN streamline their operations, but knowing that improved efficiencies have a direct impact on people’s lives−that’s the truly exciting part of this industry.”
