The City of Boroondara, based in Melbourne, Australia, was announced as the winner of the Technology Award for Excellence – Team Achievement award at the annual Municipal Association of Victoria (MAV) Technology Conference on August 19, 2015.
Providing aged and disability care services to its community, City of Boroondara first implemented GoldCare in 2008. In June of this year, the site rolled out MobilityPlus, deploying it to over 120 employees on Apple iPads.
The MAV is the legislated peak body for all 79 councils in the state of Victoria. MAV’s annual Technology Conference recognizes councils’ modern advancements throughout the year. Nominees for the Technology Awards for Excellence are assessed based on their demonstration of outstanding IT innovation, effort and outcomes, the level of support provided to their council’s business objectives, and how the council’s project may influence or assist other councils in their improvement of service delivery.
