Campana’s AXIS Payment Card Application Receives PA-DSS Certification
Waterloo, Ontario – May 26, 2011 – Campana Systems Inc., an international leader in management software for the AAA/CAA auto club industry, is pleased to announce their AXIS Payment Card Application (PCA) has successfully been certified as being compliant with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). The certification is in accordance with the Payment Card Industry’s Security Standard Council’s (PCI-SSC) validation guidelines (Payment Application Data Security Standard, Version 1.2.).
AXIS consists of a suite of integrated applications for auto clubs to manage their member services: membership, emergency road service, point-of-sale, member relationship management, travel, financials and more. The AXIS Payment Card Application acts as a digital vault that securely stores payment card numbers processed within those AXIS applications, and encrypts and decrypts payment card numbers as required for commercial transactions.
AAA Northway was the first of Campana’s customer clubs to implement AXIS PCA, followed immediately by CAA South Central Ontario and AAA Western & Central New York. In all, 19 clubs deployed AXIS PCA in just seven weeks to meet the deadline set by Visa and MasterCard that all merchants must use Payment Card Industry compliant software to manage credit card information. With 36% of AAA/CAA auto clubs using AXIS (representing the largest market share of the auto club industry), confidential client information, and millions of payment card transactions is protected by AXIS PCA.
